Welcome to my shop Wiktorski Ceramics. Here you will find a variety of hand made products including pottery and cards. Each piece is made purely by hand and each glaze I apply is weighed and mixed by my own fair hands, similar to baking a cake. I was taught the traditional way and each glaze has taken many years to perfect. This makes it totally unique to Wiktorski Ceramics. Each piece is a one off and will not be seen again. Full description
Bird on a driftwood wire.
This cute piece is made as a one off design. The sweet white bird is made from Air Dry clay which is then painted with a white acrylic paint which seals the piece. He is then attached to a natural piece of driftwood and strung with camel coloured aluminium wire.
Air dry clay does not require to be kiln fired, therefore it is not waterproof.
It is designed to be hung around your home on a wall or hung over a window.
I have designed the wire art so that it can be hung directly from the wire.
Approx size- 16 x 20cm this includes the Driftwood and the wire to hang it with.
please note this piece may have sharp edges due to the nature of the wire. Do not let children play with it.
‘WIKTORSKI CERAMICS'
I believe there is something very unique and special about a hand-made product. There is an obvious difference between hand-made and mass produced ceramics. Each piece I make is hand-made and made with love.
I work from my studio in Huddersfield where I create one-off, bespoke pottery. My work is predominantly non-functional and is created for the home or garden. Alongside my pottery I make hand-made ceramic cards, pictures and ceramic jewellery.
My inspirations come from the natural world such as organic pods, exotic fruits, trees, animals, coral reefs and nature itself. I am fascinated in discovering the textural quality of such forms and developing this into my work.
