Beginnings is a dry point print in a tiny edition of 2, plus one Artist Proof, all printed on Somerset 250gsm printing paper. The AP is printed in black, while the two in the edition are in red-brown. Each print is signed and numbered by me.

The image inspiration is drawn from many Hubble Telescope images showing stars and clouds of dust in space which I regulalry feature in my Twitter feed.

The image is 120mm x 120mm (5" x 5") and has been aperture mounted to fit a 10" x 10" frame (about 250mm x 250mm), with a backing piece and packed in a cello bag. All materials used are pH neutral and archival quality.

The mount and frame shown are software generated. No frame is included in the price.

One of my interests has always been space science and astronomy. I regularly include the NASA picture of the day in my Twitter feed and I recall also going to an exhibition of art inspired by space at Modern Art Oxford a few years ago, where I picked up a book of photos.

Unconsciously those ideas seem to have driven the creation of this small image.
