A digital print inspired in style by the wonderful Beryl Cook and the saucy postcards of Donald McGill and in subject by the Queen song.

This is NOT a reproduction. It was conceived and made from the start as a digital image to be printed on paper. It is available in a limited edition print of 50 prints in two sizes. Each print will be signed and numbered by me. Also included is a statement describing the image and its genesis, the process and details of the edition.

Large size (345mm x 248mm - approx 13.5" x 9.8") Only 15 will be available at this size (Numbers 1-15 in the edition of which 9 are currently available)

Small size (248mm x 172mm - approx 9.8" x 6.8") 35 will be available available at this size (Numbers 16-50 in the edition of which 18 are currently available)

The print will be made on satin finish photographic paper about 300gsm, which enhances the brilliant colours of the image. The quoted dimensions are approximate and refer to the size of the image not the paper sheet on which it is printed. All prints will have a border of about 25mm to allow for framing. The mount and frame shown are for illustration only and are not included in the price.

Although this is a limited edition I reserve the right to use the image in other formats such as apparel or homeware.

On a bright sunny day, two lovely ladies walk along a coastal promenade made originally from a photograph. The photo has been extensively edited using a range of software tools. Changes made include simplified colours, changed proportions, heavily boosted saturation and other more detailed changes made by drawing into the image with a graphics tablet.. I made the image while learning how to use the software during a period of recuperation after surgery. It still remains one of my favourites and is always popular - with all sexes - whenever I show it.

I came on the original photograph on Flickr. I approached the photographer who gave consent for me to use the image as I wished. He has now disappeared from that site so unfortunately I can no longer contact him.
