applique & freehand embroidered zombie girl fabric bookmark - pink
these bookmarks are quite substantial, measuring approximately 25 cm x 6 cm (10” x 2.5”), and are machine washable.
this pink haired beauty is wearing a pink floral liberty print dress, and she wears a floral crown made up of skull & tiny coordinating flowers upon her pretty head.
her painted lips contrast with her deathly pale blue irish linen skin.
the cotton fabrics are layered and appliqued onto cotton calico and i then "draw" on the intricate details using the free motion embroidery technique.
this bookmark is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine – there’s no computerised wizardry here - everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each item is unique, well made and securely constructed.
due to the very nature of free motion embroidery & handmade items, each bookmark will vary eeeever so slightly.
these bookmarks are made from with heavy weight cotton calico, stiffened with interfacing, and the edges are neatly top stitched.
i prewash all of my fabrics so they should not shrink when washed.
my design is based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, and is used with permission.
