I came up with these earrings when thinking about how to incorporate semiprecious beads into my beadweaving. I love how they turned out! I’ve tried to use the seed beads to emphasise their globular shape and enhance each stone I’ve used. The earthy tones in this pair look particularly autumnal but would look gorgeous worn at any time of year.

Full description
These earrings have been made featuring semiprecious bloodstone beads (green jasper or chalcedony featuring inclusions of red haematite), in two sizes as their centrepiece. I have embellished them using quality Japanese seed beads in a beadwoven netting in a gorgeous matte green and deep purple colours but allowed the semiprecious beads to remain visible. Teamed with fabulous Swarovski crystals in a contrasting purple, they are finished using Sterling Silver findings.
Total earring length is approximately c.35mm. Total earring width is approximately 14mm wide, using 6mm and 4mm semiprecious bloodstone beads in their construction.
These earrings have not been hallmarked as the silver used falls under the legal exemption weight; however, each ear wire carries a ‘925’ stamp.
