Full description
Great gift for outdoorsy folk (and others!) who enjoy the outdoors and making fires!
This necklace not only looks attractive, but also is a functional tool in the outdoors.
The necklace is rustically finished, and includes a small fero rod and steel striker from which its possible to create very hot sparks in order to light a fire, whether its out in the fields, woods or home.
But that's not all...
This necklace is produced using natural cordage made from 100% hemp! Hemp cordage is strong and natural appearing, plus it means this necklace is plastic free! So this tool is suitable for the natural places in which it may be used. Both hemp and nettle are much more low intenisty than cotton for example and are often gathered in the wild. A great ethical gift for someone who spends time outdoors.
The length of the necklace is adjustable by untying the cord and trimming.
Any questions please ask.
Please look at my other listings for more options.
I try to source the strikers and fero rods from european suppliers, and the natural cordage and beading from a small local business based in UK. Please see online for info on how to make fire with rod and striker.
All the packaging is kept to a minimum and made of 100% recycled or recylable materials.
