I have long had an interest in masks, and wanted to make a wall hung artwork based on them, but with a topical twist!

Full description
"Trump"
This is a hand hooked wall decoration made as a caricature of a certain politician. It includes re-purposed textiles and mixed media.
The process begins with research, and lots of drawings, designing the cartoon-like image that will act as the template for the hooked textile.
Then different colour palettes are explored, materials are sourced, cleaned and prepared. The hooking is carried out, then embellishments added, before the piece is backed with mount board and a felt backing with label and hanging loop.
The piece measures approximately:-
25 cm high x 18.5 cm wide
9 & 3/4 inches high x 7 & 1/2 inches wide

Cleaning suggestions:- this piece is not washable, but may be spot cleaned, if necessary, and dusted with a hand held vacuum cleaner nozzle with a piece of net or a sieve placed over the end to protect the textile.
