Full description
This necklace is made with a pretty Willow inspired piece of sea pottery with a man (who strangely looks like he’s swearing!) Willow pottery was a popular blue and white design favoured by the Victorians, a really nice piece as most sea pottery is plain white that I find so its always a nice surprise to flip it over and find a pattern or picture on the other side. Its been drilled by hand and hangs from an adjustable 22-25 inch long handknitted hemp rope. The rope is made from organic hemp so its very strong and soft to wear, not like the itchy cheap varieties. A special piece that would make a lovely beach gift for someone who loves the seaside.
A complete one off piece of sea glass jewellery.
Rarity – Unusual human motif
Size – See photo of me wearing. Worn at shortest length... Necklace length is adjustable from 22-25 long. Pendant is 1.5 inch long and 1.25 inch wide.
Material info:
Made with organic hemp twine which is soft to wear and ages well the more you wear it.
What is Sea glass?
I use genuine sea glass or pottery that has been collected from the beautiful beaches of Cornwall in the UK. Many of my pieces are found where an old harbour was once a bustling centre of trade. Old Victorian plates and glassware, are recycled by nature, and sharp shards are polished by the tide beating against the sand.
