This image is a bit of a departure from my usual urban style, but I am known to enjoy an occasional foray into the unknown.
I don't know what it is about this shot?
I toke it on some derelict industrial land in East Sheffield, one Sunday last winter, (don't ask what possesses me to visit such places alone on a snowy February morning!)but the simple fact is-I keep getting drawn back to it.
A typical TowerBlockMetal juxtaposition of nature versus the man made. Is it the leafless trees against the untouched snow , could it be the semi-visible masts or the discarded pallets in the foreground or is it just the bleak, almost Nordic wilderness feel? Whatever it is? There's an inescapable edge to it.
