This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A brand new design in anticipation of my own garden looking glorious this coming summer.
I've grown a glass garden filled it with a bright and colourful herbaceous border. Through the flowerbeds there's a grassy path which leads through the green bushes and trees to a little inlet where you can just see the beach and the sea.
I'm really pleased with my design.
In my mind I can see several lovely gardens I've visited like this which lead to the sea such as Trebah in Cornwall, Portmerion in Wales..
It's up to you to decide which flowers are growing in the flowerbeds. I can see Roses, lupins, peonies, hollyhocks, delphiniums, poppies, sunflowers, cosmos, lavender, astrantia, salvia. You name it, It's growing here.
It is 16cm in diameter and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely soldered to both sides of the top and looks pretty stunning hanging in the window.
I never make two pieces exactly the same. Even from the same pattern I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
I have a country garden. My flower beds are bright and colourful and I love visiting National Trust Properties to walk round and admire the lovely gardens but especially the gorgeous herbaceous borders.
