There are lots of ferns in the verges and hedges near our home. I love their shape, the repeating pattern and the curls, the colours and even the smell, especially after a rain shower.

Hand embroidered textile brooch featuring a delicate frond of fern - a little piece of wearable art.
This detailed study of a fern is stitched onto fabric scraps and is reinforced with an edge of velvet ribbon, which also gives the item a luxurious feel. There is a brooch pin with a safety clasp stitched on the back to keep it secure. I've shown it in natural light but remember that screens do vary. It measures 3.5cm x 5cm approx and will be despatched in a small white organza bag.
A perfect gift, especially for a nature lover, a walker or just a fern-fancier!
