I have taken the last few months off from woodturning to concentrate on my botanical water colour work a few examples of which you can view on my Instagram account. However, I have picked up the chisels again and will be adding new items and old favourites. The latest additions are two attractive sycamore drinks trays but more items to come.
I liked the idea of piercing in wood to give simple but I hope attractive decoration. I like to think that this will be appealing.

Full description
A lidded potpourri bow but could have many other uses. The maple lid is pierced with a decorative leaf motif and the bowl has been turned in Bubinga to give some contrast. The finish is a dulled lacquer and waxed to give a warm sheen.
