What inspired me ?. My recent trip to India with its exotic birds and wonderful vibrant colours.
I've tried to capture some of the sparkle with a very extravagent use of shimmering dichroic glass.
I post this piece lst class, signed for to provide cover as per Royal Mail value limits.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A brand new design for Spring 2019 and I think it is quite stunning and very special.
This is a peacock, an Indian Blue, with its wonderful tail feathers spread into a fan shape.
The 13 tail feathers are cut from different types of peacock coloured glass, turquoise, green, teal, purple, blue using iridescent, textured and streaky glass to give lots of movement.
The tip of each tail feather is a dichroic glass nugget which I fused specially in my kiln. There are some rather wonderful nuggets included and they change colour with the light to reflect and refract which is a feature of magical dichroic glass.
The body is cut entirely from dichroic glass, clear and heavily texuted shining purple and turquoise. I've made the tiny legs from wire..
This is 17cm wide by 16cm high.
It is beautifully bright and cheerful and casts lovely colours when it hangs in the light of a window.
It hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
