Poppies - I love the contrast in colours between the bright red, black and lime green centre all offset here with the bright green velvet ribbon.
There is always something dramatic and joyful about coming across some poppies in the corner of a field or in a grassy verge. And the poignant connotation of War and remembrance is never far away either.

Hand-embroidered textile brooch featuring a crimson poppy.
An eye catching piece of wearable art that would enhance clothing, coat or hat.
This detailed study of a poppy is stitched by hand onto fabric scraps and is edged with velvet ribbon for structure and that touch of luxury. There is a brooch back pin with a safety catch stitched on the back to keep it secure on clothing. It measures just over 3cm x 5.5cm.
It's been photographed in natural light but I'm sure you're aware that monitors and screens do vary.
Ideal for a nature-lover or a gardener.
