Children's toys and whimsical fairy tale books (many of these I still have from my own childhood in the 1980s), along with a growing vintage fabric collection from my adult years, have always been the inspiration for my work, both for my designs at college and university through to everything that I create today.
These things that inspire me give my products a whimsical and retro twist of child like charm and I feel really lucky to be able to do what I love which is to design, sew and make cute things.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Hello, this is Ned, he is a one of a kind artist mohair bear handmade by me, Melissa Jayne Bears.
He measures approx 9.5 inches/24cm in height and is made from a 10mm, sparse, german schulte mohair in a lovely mustard/ochre teddy yellow colour.
He wears a little reversible waistcoat which I have handmade out of a brown mix, vintage 'Flower Garden' fabric, with trailing leaf design lining.
Ned comes complete with his named swing tag which shows all the materials I have used to make him.
His materials, fillings and features are:

Please note that Ned is a display bear for collectors and is not suitable for children under the age if 14. The Brown and the white bears in the photos are available to buy separately.
Ned will be posted by Special Delivery within the UK and Tracked delivery everywhere else.
