This listing is for my Ara handmade brass balled french ear hooks. Choose your quantity from the drop down menu.
- 20g (0.8mm) wire.
- Raw brass wire.
- Approx 20mm long.
These earring hooks will be handmade to order, so a slight variation to the photographs should be expected. I make them by balling the ends of wire with a torch and then pickling to remove firescale. Then they are shaped by hand, the ends are filed smooth for added comfort and they are lightly hammered for extra strength and aesthetic. Finally they are cleaned and polished to a lovely shiny finish.
Unprotected brass will tarnish, it can easily be brought back to a shine with a silver polishing cloth. These ear wires are suitable for oxidizing/ antiquing/ patinating.
