A unique gemstone necklace in shades of purple including, Quartzite, Purple Jasper and Amethyst on a silver chain.
An eye catching necklace for any occasion and a lovely gift for someone special.
I have created this necklace using a selection of beautiful gemstone beads, a large statement faceted purple quartzite in the centre, purple jasper at either side and 3 amethyst beads at both ends. The beads are graduated in size of 16 x 12 mm Quartzite rondelle in the center 8mm Purple Jasper and 4mm Amethyst beads. I threaded the beads onto silver filled wire which I shaped into a curve and finished with wrapped loops. The curved bar is attached to a silver plated chain and also has an extension chain to adjust the length.
The necklace measures 44cm (17”) with an extension chain of 4cm (1 1/2”). (All measurements are approximate)
The wire I have used for the gemstone bar is 10% sterling silver filled copper wire (sterling silver bonded to a copper centre). It has a much thicker layer of sterling silver and is more durable than silver plated wire.
