This image was taken in Boilton Woods, part of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust nature reserve at Brockholes, near Preston. This little bird was feeding on some seeds not to far from me. My aim was to try and get some shots of the little woodland birds in flight - not easy! I fired off about 10 shots of the blue tit. I did not spot this when reviewing them on my camera but when I downloaded them I got a fantastic surprise. Not exactly in flight but it does show some nice detail of the wing.
