Using some shoes, a bag and a necklace of my own, I set these objects against a backdrop of an old gold-framed painting I'd been given, which depicts a view of Fossgate in York, as it used to be a long time ago. I finished this painting whilst I was living on the same street as the old painting depicts, though I've moved since then. I no longer have the shoes, handbag, or necklace either, and so the picture has a sentimental value, hence the title.
