The beautiful rosewood mala beads are strung on an orange, knotted cord.

The beads are from India and are ethically sourced. All of my mala sets are strung in my personal meditiation room. I love the act of threading these beads and the rhythmic counting of each bead acts as a meditiation for me.

They can also be worn as a necklace and as a bracelet. I do wear them this way myself.

I love mala beads. I have several sets of them, in different bags and rooms so they are always to hand. If I am restless whilst meditating I use them to chant until my mind is settled by the rhythm of my words.

I specifically use wooden beads as the first time I meditated was in a wood that was near my home. I meditated many times there over the years and developed a dear and lasting love of trees. They sheltered me in my peaceful early n3ditations, I now meditate beneath and elder and elderberry tree in my garden when it isn’t raining.
You can use them to repeat meditations or affirmations. Be creative and devise ways they can aid you.
