Full description
This sparkly pendant features an oblong of Harley fordite which has been bezel set in sterling silver. The 'front' has a bulls eye circular pattern in sparkly bright blue, silver, black and white whilst the 'back' is stripy in shades of blue, navy, white, red, yellow and black. There is a flaw on the back from where I recovered this piece of fordite from a glued peg bail but it is still worth showing off the pattern and colours. Suitable for a gent, a lady or anyone who loves the unusual (or their motor bike). Measures 48mm top to bottom (inc bail) and 26mm across.
Fordite is layers of cured paint that built up in the old spray booths at car plants. The dealer I bought this particular material from believes it to have come from a Harley Davidson spray shop - the colours are certainly consistent with the colour charts I have found. Changes in how vehicles are painted mean that fordite is only formed in small quantities and it is becoming increasingly difficult to source, I was lucky enough to get a parcel of this material so if you are after something slightly different or to match a beloved bike drop me a message and I'll see if I have what you are after.
Comes in a gift box with an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain. If you would like a leather thong to go with it then drop me a message, the bail could take a chain up to about 6mm diameter in case you want to put it on a chain you already have.
