Item details

Little wooden house scene made from reclaimed wood, nails and fabric. The house details are hand painted.
The wood is from old pallets - all lovingly taken apart by my husband! The nails are kept and I make the lampposts from them, I cut the wood on my electric saw - it's a bit scary and I'm sometimes afraid for my fingers! I think I need to find better machinery. The wood is then sanded, painted, sanded again and then painted again.

These houses are an extension to my paintings that I have been doing for years.
I like to think of the people that live in my houses. It's early morning, so they're never awake.
Best friends live in these houses. In the blue house is Pamela, very house proud, always washing sheets. In the white house is Brenda, loves bingo, perhaps eats too much cake. They meet up for sherry once a week.
