My latest set of animal fact cards is based around the amazing extinct animals that we have already lost forever.

The cards are approx 78 x 108mm and come in a fully firmed box.
There’s 36 cards in a pack, 1 key card and 35 animal cards.

Each card features an illustration on one side with the animals common name, then their scientific name, where they lived, what they ate and when they went extinct along with 3 facts, one of which is about why they have gone extinct, and the background colour of the card shows you were in the world they came from.

I am passionate about our natural world and dream of teaching kids all about the animals we share the planet with so they can fall in love and want to protect them for the future.

I was watching a show with my little boy about the Tasmanian tiger and he was enthralled, he turned to me and said he couldn’t wait to see them in real life one day, so I explained that he wouldn’t be able to as sadly they are extinct, when he asked why I had to tell him that sadly we drove them to their extinction...he was shocked, suddenly he understood what extinction meant and it made him understand more about the animals he loves being endangered and why it’s so important we do what we can to protect them.

Seeing how much he learnt from an animal we’ve lost, I knew that the next set of cards should be about extinct animals and set about creating this set.
