A quirky brooch featuring 2 stylised trees and a tiny bird hand crafted from sterling silver and aluminium. The framework is made from sterling silver square wire and silver sheet which has been textured with little circles. The coloured piece is anodised aluminium which is blind riveted to the silver. The brooch pin is made from stainless steel as I find this provides more strength to hold it's shape.
The pattern on the aluminium is created digitally and applied as a resist. The metal is then dyed and sealed and the resist removed leaving the pattern in the silver colour of the aluminium.
Please note I can make the coloured piece in most colours or patterns - please contact me to discuss your requirements. Custom orders will take extra time.
The brooch measures approx. 4cm wide by 5cm height
Presented in a recycled Kraft gift box embossed with my logo.
Please allow up to 2 weeks for me to complete your order, thank you.
I often spend time doodling on random bits of paper and particularly like drawing trees... I combined some of my sketches with my patterned aluminium and silver framework that I've been developing in the workshop and the result is this range!
