I am lucky enough to have a woodpecker who regularly visits the bird feeders in my garden. They have amazing colouring and a very distinctive pecking action

Full description
The Woodpecker, Dendrocopos major, is a striking black and white with the male having a red patch on the back of the head and young birds have a red crown. It has a very distinctive bouncing flight and spends most of its time clinging to tree trunks and branches.
I hand embroidered this bird using quality threads on a calico base. The hoop measures 5.25" or 13.5cms As it is hand made it is unique. It would make a decorative addition to the home as a wall hanging or standing on a shelf
