Full description
Handmade with care, two sunflowers are carefully handstitched onto handmade silk paper to make a totally unique greetings card suitable for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or other special occasions.
It takes me about an hour to make the silk paper as I need to make sure it's fused together and this process is lengthy. Then about another hour to embroider the sunflowers and add the stems.
I use a variety of different silk paper threads including the silk from silk rods, merino wool, silk throwers waste, natural string, silk tops and add a small scattering of angelina fibre which glistens when held up to the light.

Please note that because this item is handmade, the sunflowers and silk paper backing may differ slightly in size and arrangement from the image shown above. Because of the nature of silk paper the backing is fragile, so please handle this card with care.
Last posting dates for Christmas delivery: Wednesday 18th December for 2nd Class and Royal Mail Signed for 2nd Class. Friday 20th December for 1st Class and Royal Mail Signed for 1st Class.
