The colours of the woods in Autumn and Winter have always appealed to me and I thought I would love to combine this palette with a more textured pattern. Each Christmas tree motif is hand-cut from 'hessian' patterned card and then decorated with three natural baubles. The inside 'negative space' shape echoes the overall shape of the design, giving a second tree. The construction of the cards (I chose to glue down the centre of the tree) gives them a 3-D effect.
