Signed and dated one-off art piece, with free UK delivery.
It is not a print, but has been cut from a water-damaged 1941 copy of Girl's Own. It will never be reproduced.
Sadly, the women and the photographer aren't named. However, you can see the full article on Instagram by searching the hashtag AlisonSyeLandGirls.
I hand stitched the image using vintage thread, which once belonged to my nana.
The whole thing measures 15 x 15cms, including the border, and comes unframed.
£3 from this sale will be donated to Arts Emergency. This is a small London based charity aiming to ensure university doors are kept open for those most able to benefit from, but least able to pay for education.
In keeping with my eco-friendly ethos, it will arrive in a package made from used magazines and the like. No single-use plastic or parcel tape.
It can be sent as a gift, with words of your choice.
Please be aware that if you live outside the EU you may be subject to a charge in accordance with your country's customs/duties laws.
To avoid fading the print keep out of direct sunlight. If framing, use UV protection or museum glass.
