The femme in question is Françoise Gilot.

She was painted by Pablo Picasso and cut from Picasso by Jacques Lassaigne. Editions Aimery Somogy, Paris, 1949. ARS Mundi. Directeur Technique: Max Petitjean (M.A.P.). Printed in France. Originally purchased in Foyles, Charing Cross Road, London.

Signed and dated one-off hand-stitched collage, made from discarded papers and my nana’s old silk thread.

13cms x 18cms, unframed.

It is a one-off piece, never to be reproduced.

£5 from this sale will go to Arts Emergency. This is a small London based charity aiming to ensure university doors are kept open for those most able to benefit from, but least able to pay for education.

In keeping with my eco-friendly ethos, it will arrive in a package made from used magazines and the like. No single-use plastic and parcel tape.

Can be sent as a gift, with words of your choice.

To avoid fading the newsprint keep out of direct sunlight. If framing, use UV protection or museum glass.

Please be aware that if you live outside the EU you may be subject to a charge in accordance with your country's customs/duties laws.
