English Chestnut Yarn Bowl
For the discerning knitter, a medium sized yarn bowl, handmade by me, from English Chestnut. This sturdy piece is designed to make the most of the attractive grain of the wood and be quite stable in use. The unique and varied shading and features of the Chestnut add to the uniqueness of this piece which is protected with a durable semi-gloss cellulose finish.
The carefully crafted slot, according to my wife, allows the yarn to be drawn from the centre of the ball without the irritation of tangles whilst keeping the material clean and immobile.
Dimensions: Height 115mm with a diameter of 140mm
This would make an ideal gift for the enthusiastic knitter for any occasion or just to say thank you. It might even be nice to treat yourself.
Whilst all of our pieces are unique “one-offs”, handmade from locally sourced English woods in my small workshop in Grateley, similar items of varying styles and woods can be found elsewhere in my shop.
