This bag started with the main blue fabric from a book of fabric samples I was given, but as there wasn't enough for the whole bag, I got creative with other fabrics I had available and am pleased with the result.

Main fabric - viscose/linen blend from a sample book
Denim - upcyled from a pair of jeans
Lining - nice quality cotton/polyester from a shirt
Facing - oddment from my fabric cupboard.
Wadding - off cuts from other projects

Full description

This bag has a basic tote bag shape and I have made it with a combination of new and reclaimed fabric.

Bag outer is a blue viscose/linen blend and has decorative tape and blue stitching. Lower half of bag is dark denim.

Faced with neutral colour striped cotton and lined with a cotton/polyester stripe.

Handles are made from the denim and the lining fabric. I have put a layer of light wadding into the handles to make them more comfy and topstitched them for decoration and stability.

Measures approximately 32cm across, and is 34cm high.

The loop of each handle measures about 54cm.
