This print is reproduced by me reproduced from an original watercolour painting created in June 2007, titled "April Showers, Ben Hiant" and shows a view from Ormsaigbeag by Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan.

This image is also available as a greetings card.

Reproduced from an original watercolour painting by Jenny Chapman, © 2007.

One day in April, some years ago, I drove up the Ormsaigbeag road from Kilchoan to look at the view. It was a typical spring day on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands: light, bright and very breezy, with frequent squalls of rain showers blowing in at some speed from the Atlantic. The view across the bay was dramatic, as sheets of rain swept across Ben Hiant while the sun continued to shine, creating a beautiful rainbow which flickered across the mountain and was reflected in the sea. In the distance, the hills of Morvern hovered faintly above the Sound of Mull, partially obscured by the rain.

The original painting was created with Winsor and Newton Professional Watercolours.
