I know that snails are seen as a pest by many gardeners but the is something magical about these gorgeous little snails with their spiral shells. I had taken several photos of snails on a sunny morning when everything was covered in dew and this little snail just posed so beautifully I thought I had to stitch his image.

Full description
Measuring 7.5cm x 8cm this little banded snail has been hand embroidered using silk floss thread on a silk/cotton blend fabric. Each tiny stitch has been sewn using size 12 embroidery needles and a magnifying lamp. The work has then been stretched and professionally framed measuring 26.5cm x 26.5cm.
