This unique hand painted leather purse was inspired by a sunset I saw over a Scottish Loch. The image of the sky with pink and blue behind the silhouette of a tree was beautiful. The image has been painted using alcohol inks and is permanent.

The leather purse has been designed by myself with space for notes, cards, receipts and coins. I had 2 items in my bag, a wallet and a coin purse so amalgamated both to create a really functional robust leather purse and wallet.

Every purse is totally unique with a different front panel, this one is hand painted and stained leather. The image panel is 13.5 x 9cm (5.5" x 3.5").

The purse is 16cm (6.5") wide and folds down to 11.5cm (4.5"). The opened size is 32cm (12.5").

The purse uses 2 high quality popper fasteners.

I love Scotland and when I saw this sunset I could not resist taking a photograph so I could replicate the image through different types of art. Here I used leather to create a really functional purse.

I like working with leather as it such a durable natural resource - and I like using art for things that we keep with us rather than just on the wall.

Here I used alcohol inks which are not always easy to predict. The mixing of the permanent ink and alcohol can create really exciting and wonderful effects. The background sun set and loch came out perfectly, exactly what I was looking for.

Carry a piece of art with you and know there is nothing else just like this anywhere!
