Full description
A stunning mix of lapis lazuli chips, cobalt blue freshwater pearls, golden brown freshwater pearls and sterling silver. The gold pearls provide a contrast to the many shades of blue here – sky, turquoise, cobalt, navy to name but a few, all nestling in the natural inclusions and organic shapes of the lapis chips.
This is the sort of necklace you want to take off and spend a few minutes looking at occasionally, just to appreciate the colours. Fastening with a lobster claw sterling silver clasp, and at a classic length of 18 inches, it’s really easy to wear. And the chips have been beautifully tumbled, so have smooth and comfortable edges only.
Why is it called ‘gold mine’? I don’t know, that’s just what I think of every time I look at it. Perhaps someone panning golden pearly nuggets from a stream under a deep blue sky?!
The necklace comes gift wrapped as a perfect present or a pampering treat for you. I recommend you store it in a tarnish-resistant box or pouch, and give the little pearls a polish with a dry cloth after you’ve worn them to maintain their shine.
