Full description
This Great Tit has been modelled using 100% woollen fibres. A core wool has been sculpted into shape using a barbed felting needle and then merino wool fibres in appropriate colours have been felted to the surface to create the colour and markings. A beak, wired legs and beaded eyes have been added.
The model is approximately life-size measuring 14.5cm (5.7") long by 8cm (3") tall.
This bird could sit happily on the mantlepiece or perched in a pot plant. He is lightweight and so will happily perch almost anywhere. The feet can be gently bent around a branch and blutac or glue can be used to secure him in place. Alternatively he will stand unsupported on a flat surface.
