Hello and welcome to Shirley Rainbow.
If you would like me to send an item as a gift directly to the recipient please let me know, I’m always happy to do this!
A house with a turret stands in a garden with pink and yellow flowers, found by wandering down a tiny winding lane. Hand embroidered in crewel wool onto wool felt, the Holiday House is inspired by a house my family stayed in on holiday and given the Shirley Rainbow treatment!
The embroidery is framed in an metal hoop, crocheted over in mustard cotton. It measures 14cm / 5.5” across. It has a loop to hang on the wall.
The embroidery is stitched using 100% Appleton Wool, which was also used by William Morris! It is dyed and spun in England. The wool creates a lovely texture when stitched, with a soft sheen and a raised surface to the stitches.
Each of my embroidery pieces are unique, due to the hand stitching and the natural textures of the wool. I love designing and creating each piece.
The hoop art wall decoration is securely wrapped in tissue before posting in a sturdy envelope. Postage to UK addresses is free on orders over £15. Orders will be posted within 24 hours of purchase during December.
Interesting holiday houses, and a bright colour palette in soft wool.
