"Cerejeira" in a fun ditsy floral print is a sleeveless sundress with a square neckline and v-shaped back. Its gathered skirt is slimline yet floaty, but coupled with a fitted bodice and soft fabric, it’s perfect for a summer wedding, or for bringing some summery vintage flair to town.

The bodice is fully lined with princess seams, and the skirt gathered at the waist to fall over the hips. The dress has a back closure of a concealed zip. As with all my garments, this dress has in-seam pockets!

This Cerejeira’s fabric is beautifully soft and lightweight 100% cotton lawn, with a ditsy floral print in pinks, blues and yellows. This dress can be made in other fabrics too, please send me a message if you'd like it made in any of my other fabrics.

The skirt measures around 70cm from waist to hem, designed to sit on or just below the knee. The skirt can be made longer or shorter - please feel free to get in touch.

The Cerejeira is designed to be close fitting and flattering on top, the bodice sits on the waist and the skirt is gathered and falls freely over the hips. Made from cotton, it isn't stretchy, but I do try and make all my garments a comfortable fit.

Originally I had designed this dress to be the same as the "Roseira" dress, but in a different print - but thought what's the fun in that! My sister once told me that she loves square necklines, so I decided to model this design on that, instead of the standard round scoop necklines. I balanced it out with a v-shaped back, and together I think they balance perfectly, especially in this lovely vibrant pink cotton lawn. After the summer heatwave this year, it was just great to have a dress in a fabric cool and comfortable enough to wear on hot days, yet in a modest and classic cut. As autumn is on its way, I made an Acorn jacket to pair with this dress, to cover up the shoulders and protect against the evenings drawing in. It still retains the fun ditsy print, and gives so many options to switch the look around.
