"Flying Home, September Light"
This image shows a view looking west across the Atlantic Ocean from the sand dunes at Sanna Bay, Ardnamurchan. The sky is typical of the early autumn in this coastal area, when the sun is frequently hidden by masses of cloud sweeping in from the ocean but manages to find its way through the gaps between the clouds to create dazzling pools of light on the sea.
Looking straight into the dazzling light, the tall marram grass on the dunes appeared silhouetted against the sea, when suddenly a sea bird flew across my view, and was caught for a moment in a ray of light...

Full description
Medium sized giclée print made in my own studio with Epson lightfast pigment inks on Epson Archival Matte paper, in a conservation grade soft white mount and backing board, presented in a wooden frame with real glass, signed on the back and finished with hardboard and framing tape. With a strong wire, ready to hang.

The image window size is approximately 11 1/3" x 9 1/3" (288mm x 238mm) and the overall size of the frame is just under 16" x 14" (400mm x 350mm.
This print is reproduced by me from a scan of an original watercolour painting created in August 2018, titled "Flying Home, September Light - Sanna Bay, Ardnamurchan". This image is also available in other sizes, with or without a frame, and as a greetings card.
