What is Sgraffito - apparently it’s Italian for “scratched’
This is the technique I have used for this pot.

Full description
I have hand thrown this ceramic jug using red earthenware clay body. My design has been scratched into the surface using the Sgraffito technique.
There is a transparent glaze on the outside and a cream glaze for the inside of the jug.
