I have always had a thing for turquoise, it is such a beautiful stone.
It reminds me of places far away, bright weather, everything aqua, the sky and the sea, and above all it makes me smile.
I also love its symbolism - turquoise is a stone of protection and strength, symbolising wisdom. And through its healing energies it balances the emotions, creating emotional stability and equilibrium. Each order arrives with an information slip about the symbolsim.

Full description
Turquoise necklace, handmade with love in my studio in York.
Symbolising strength, calm and positivity.
I use traditional silver smithing techniques to set the turquoise into sterling silver.
I have used a Chinese turquoise gemstone cabochon for this necklace, measuring 12mm in diameter. Hung on a 25" chain it looks gorgeous on it's own or layered with other necklaces.
I make the necklace with loose sterling silver trace chain and hand make my fastenings so if you'd like a longer or shorter chain please do let me know when in the check out.
These Chinese turquoise stones have beautiful colourings and do differ. Some have more spiderweb markings than others, some more light aqua in colouring some deeper turquoise.
The turquoise cabachon in the necklace I have in stock at the moment is a deep turquoise with a mottly lovely web of markings.
