I love the scrimshaw works that sailors did on old whale bones in the olden days while away at sea, this is my version of those artworks, though on stone instead of bone!
I also love working in line, and the rough surface of the stone really makes for a lovely, soft, textured line.

Framed Hand-painted stone in acrylics and line on theme of 'I Love the Sea' in 6 x 6 inch frame.
This original hand-painted artwork is painted in acrylics and drawn in permanent pigment ink pen line and mounted in a 6 x 6 inch white wooden box frame.
It is perfect for a person who loves the sea and can be hung anywhere in the home, or can be propped up against a wall on a shelf or any flat surface to make a lovely item of nautical interest.
The stones I use to illustrate this design on are all roughly the same shape but obviously, with nature not being regular they may differ slightly with some being slightly rounder or slightly squarer (but in a very rounded off way), and the design is the same in each one but obviously, with one off art, will not be identical in every brush stroke.
All content and composition and colours will be virtually the same though.
