Coming from using linen thread for bookbinding and leather working, this is a relatively thin thread, Nm 60/3 linen thread, sold in 57m skeins.
The thread is hand-dyed by a family-held company in Southern England.

Linen thread is generally high regarded for its strength. This is here is Nm 60/3 thread which makes it suitable for crochet, embroidery and knitting.

I use it for binding miniature books and for headbanding (also a term from bookbinding).
