SoMac are an English thread manufacturer from Chester.
This is a very high quality thread which I love to use for all my bookbinding projects, especially for leather bindings, as this seems where their range of colours blends in best.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

This listing is for one 50g cone of 4-ply, non-waxed, English linen thread from SoMac. Please check below for a list of available colours.
Somac makes linen thread of a very high quality which shows in an evenly round and evenly thick thread. 4-ply and 3-ply are two standard thicknesses used for bookbinding. The 4-ply being slightly thicker, makes visible sewing pattern stand out better.
Generally linen thread is valued for it's high strength and linen is used in many traditional crafts such as harness and saddle making, tent making, and is used for puppets on a string, crochet, macrame, jewelry making, bookbinding and many, many more.
