Full description
This listing is for a full 50g spool of English, non-waxed linen thread from SoMac. This is a very high quality linen thread which shows in an evenly round thread of even thickness. See below for a list of available colours.
In general linen thread is chosen for its strength and is used in many traditional crafts such as leather sewing (harness and saddle making), tent and sail making, and bookbinding.
If you use it to bind books, you can wax it to the desired amount by hand. The advantage of using less wax is that it will draw less dirt and dust and won't leave greasy residue on the pages.
