Full description
This Vintage Pie tin pin cushion has been made to accompany my Rust Dyed, hand dyed & stitch embellished needle cases . Once again a little piece of Textile Art turned into a practical sewing notion. The pin cushion is a Vintage Pie tin that has been cleaned up without removing too much of its age and patina with a cushion attached inside . The internal pin cushion has been made by piecing together fabrics which have been Rust dyed and hand dyed then stitched embellished to create a unique design. This is a lovely tactile piece to use and with the old metal of the Pie tin set along side the texture, pattern & colour of the fabric cushion it really does evoke a feeling of old textile industries.
The tin measures 8 cm across the top of the tin and is 3.5 cm deep , so it’s quite a neat little piece that won’t take up too much room and with the metal base will keep those sharp pricking pin points safely away form hurting fingers.
