Full description
A striking necklace of hand-made beads in black, turquoise and lime green, finished by a hand-made black cord and closing by a cord loop over a vintage button. Bright and fun whilst being light weight and comfortable to wear.
Beads have been knitted in cotton yarn and stitched into spheres, tubes and discs. Two turquoise cylindrical beads have been created by wrapping a roll of turquoise felt in a textured turquoise fabric - finishing the seam with hand embroidery. A printed green, cotton fabric was used to create two more cylindrical beads in the same way.
The beads were strung on transparent, nylon thread. Loops of hand made black cord were threaded through the last few beads on each end of the necklace and securely stitched in place. A black button was stitched onto one loop and a corresponding button-loop stitched on the other side.
Length of string: 55 cm approx.
Textile jewellery may not be entirely colour fast. Care should be taken not to get the item wet in use to avoid the risk of colour transfer.
