Full description
This picture, depicting a scene of poppies and other wild flowers, has been wet felted using a variety of wool and silk fibres. Merino wool has been used to create the background with silk fibres used to form the poppies and stones giving them a slightly raised, textured effect. The remainder of the flowers have been created using curly wool locks and wool neeps (small woollen balls).
The resulting picture has been left with organically shaped edges and mounted on a piece of cream coloured mount board and framed (without glass) in an ornate wooden frame. The frame measures approximately 12" x 14" (30.5cm x 35.5cm). The frame has a hanging cord attached to the reverse to allow ease of hanging in your home.
A gorgeous addition to any home and a lovely gift idea, suitable for a 7th (wool) anniversary gift or for any other occasion.
