This unique quillow ( a quilt that folds up into its own pocket for form and pillow or cushion) is made from cotton fabric and backed with cream polycotton fabric. The wadding used is a mix of cotton and polyester. The quillow is hand finished.

The cotton fabric used is pale pink, pale green and light grey in colour and has either a delicate white flower print or dots printed on it. The designs have been coordinated to create this very pretty design.

The overall effect creates this very pretty design which has the added bonus of folding up into its own pocket, which is sewn onto the back of the quilt.

When folded up the quillow would not look out of place as a cushion in a child's bedroom or bed.

It is ideal as a lap quilt or as a travel quilt for al child or even a play mat due to its portability.

The quilt measures approximately 30 x 45 inches and when folded into its pouch it measures approximately 12 inches square.

I found this fabric in my fabric stash and thought that it would make a lovely quillow.

When my children were small and we were visiting friends and relatives it would have been handy to have an easily portable cover to take so I decided to make a small quillow that is easily portable. It could be also be used to as a playmat.

I hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
