I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING ITEMS FROM THIS SHOP TO MY OTHER FOLKSY SHOP 'Lynwoodcrafts' where they will be waiting for you to view them! All my items now feature upcycled, recycled, repurposed or gifted materials and there is no longer any distinction between the two shops!
I enjoyed hand-painting samples, from my recycled linen collection, using some lovely water-based inks. Vintage lace, and paper roses add a lovely texture.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

SALE - previously listed at £45.
A brightly coloured, textured, mixed media hanging , incorporating hand-painted and hand-dyed scraps of vintage linens and lace, combined with hand embroidery, hand-painted lace flowers, paper roses and embroidered flowers and foliage.
Reminiscent of a densely planted rose border, many techniques and materials have been used to create this hanging. The colour palette has been taken from the portion of hand-painted, vintage lace which finishes the lower edge of the hanging. The fabric used for the background of the border has been hand-painted in the same inks. The sky is a portion of hand-dyed recycled table cloth. The embroidery has been worked through a backing of thick felt-like 'interfacing'. The reverse of the hanging is neatened with a panel of recycled fabric.
This is one of a series of hangings aimed at re-purposing vintage needlework which has been a little too much used and loved to continue in its original purpose.
This pale blue hanging loop is stitched from button-hole stitch in cotton thread. PLEASE NOTE - Image 4 shows the hanging suspended from a picture hook which is supported by a white, fabric covered board - this board is not part of the hanging.
